Heath Smith has an extensive work experience, beginning with the United States Military in 2007, where they held the role of Helicopter Inland Aircrew Crew Chief / Rescue Swimmer, Naval Aircrewmen, and Helicopter Aircrew Crew Chief / Rescue Swimmer. From 2013 to 2018, they were Supervisor at NAF Atsugi AIMD, managing technicians who maintained 176 support equipment assets over the Pacific theater. In 2018, they held a Software Engineer Internship at Movial, where they created comprehensive unit tests to effectively refactor the existing code base and collaborated on team strategy for executing a successful implementation of the project. That same year, they were Lead Teaching Assistant at Code Fellows, where they implemented best practices for Node.js, Express, and React development to create dynamic applications with the student body. Finally, they held the roles of Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at LiquidPlanner, crafting SASS software using Typescript and React for performant and productive development, regularly collaborating with team members to strengthen team cohesiveness and communications, and working with and as a mentor to help strengthen the overall team skill set and improve team dynamics.
Heath Smith attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2014 to 2016, studying Information Technology. ☕ Heath then attended Code Fellows from 2017 to 2018, studying JavaScript Advance Software Development.
