Serge Bernard

Researcher at LIRMM

Serge Bernard has served as a Research Director at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique since October 2001, focusing on the design of integrated circuits and biosensors for medical applications as well as marine biologging. Additionally, as an independent consultant since December 2023, Serge Bernard provides strategic scientific advice to companies regarding R&D organization and tax credit applications. At LIRMM, Serge Bernard has held positions as a researcher and head of the Microelectronics Department, while also co-directing the joint laboratory ISYTEST CNRS/NXP Semiconducteurs. From June 2011 to November 2023, expertise was provided as a Scientific Expert for the Crédit Impôt Recherche and Jeune Entreprise Innovante, overseeing numerous applications and ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria in various scientific domains. Serge Bernard holds a PhD in electronics from the University of Montpellier and an Agrégation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ecole normale supérieure.
