Aleksandar Nikolov

Aleksandar Nikolov has a diverse work experience ranging from roles in the maritime industry to automation engineering. Aleksandar is currently working as the Director of Maritime Operations at LISCR. Prior to this, they held positions such as Senior Technical Manager, Fleet Operations Manager, and Assistant Manager of Audits and Inspections at LISCR. Before joining LISCR, they were unemployed and actively seeking new opportunities.

Earlier in their career, Aleksandar worked for Carnival Corporation as a Lead Auditor in Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS). Their responsibilities involved conducting audits and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and standards. Aleksandar also worked as an Occupational Safety and Environmental Compliance Officer for Princess Cruises, where they focused on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing environmental and safety policies.

Furthermore, they have experience as a Navigation and Environmental Officer at Silversea Cruises, where they ensured compliance with regulations, conducted training, and performed risk assessments. Prior to that, they worked as a Navigation Officer at V.Group, where they focused on navigation safety and compliance.

Continuing their education, from 2001 to 2005, Aleksandar attended Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, where they obtained a Master's degree. During their time at the academy, they studied Navigation, Environmental Science, Management of Safety, and Naval Architecture.

In addition to their formal education, Aleksandar Nikolov has also acquired a number of certifications throughout their career. These include OSHA 30 from 360training in June 2020, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor - Quality Certification from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance in May 2017, ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor from Bureau Veritas Group in January 2016, and a Public Health Course from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in November 2015. Aleksandar has also obtained certifications in Maritime Security Management Systems and Auditing, ISM and the Lead Auditor, Ship Security Officer, Managing Safely, Shipboard Safety Officer, GMDSS Radio Operator's License - DO, and Watchkeeping Officer from various institutions.
