Mark Thornhill Cbe

Mark Thornhill CBE currently serves as Director of Operations for Maritime and Land at QinetiQ, where responsibilities include leading a team focused on mission-led innovation within test and evaluation operations across various domains in the UK. Previous experience includes serving as Head of British Defence Staff in East Africa, managing UK's defense relations, and contributing to the Middle East Peace Process as Security Sector Reform Programme Director for the UK Ministry of Defence. Mark's military career spans roles with the British and US Armies, including Brigade Commander during the UK's deployment in Afghanistan and Strategy and Policy Team Leader at The Pentagon. Mark holds advanced degrees from Cranfield University and the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies, among other educational qualifications.
