Jeff Goodell is an accomplished author and contributing writer with extensive experience in environmental journalism. Currently serving as a fellow at the Guggenheim Foundation since April 2020, Goodell has authored influential books including *The Heat Will Kill You First: Life and Death on a Scorched Planet* (2023) and *The Water Will Come: Rising Seas, Sinking Cities, and the Remaking of the Civilized World* (2017), published by Little, Brown and Company since 2014. Additionally, Goodell has contributed to Rolling Stone since January 2002 and held a fellowship at New America from 2016 to 2017. Educationally, Goodell holds a Master's degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
