Jessica Rothkuo has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of child welfare, strategy, and policy analysis. Jessica is currently working as the Senior Vice President of Strategy, Development, and Communications at Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York, where they strategically guide development, communications, and external affairs to enhance the organization's programming, messaging, and partnerships. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago, providing support to state child welfare agencies to implement Family First. Jessica also held the position of Senior Program Manager at The Redlich Horwitz Foundation, where they led efforts to enhance Family First readiness and reform agency policies to better support families. Jessica has extensive experience in the child welfare field, including roles as a Senior Consultant in Child Welfare Strategy & Operations at Deloitte and as Executive Director of Strategy, Innovation, and Planning at the City of New York's Administration for Children's Services. Jessica has also worked in business development and consulting roles at ZeroDivide and as a Conservation and Natural Resource Management Specialist with the Peace Corps. Jessica holds expertise in strategic planning, policy analysis, systems thinking, and cross-system collaboration.
Jessica Rothkuo completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from The New School's Milano School from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Kent State University from 2002 to 2005.
Jessica also has additional certifications to their name, including an Advanced Design Thinking Certificate from IDEO U, obtained in February 2022, and a Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate from IDEO U, obtained in June 2021. In August 2020, they received a Systems Thinking Certificate from Cornell University. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in Agroforestry from Trees for the Future Inc., obtained in March 2011, and a 72-Hour Permaculture Design Certification from the SCOPE Program and Famibidzani Permaculture Center, obtained in November 2010.
