Chris Phillips

Chris Phillips, CPA has extensive experience in the finance and accounting field. Chris began their career in 2006 as an Assistant Controller at Peabody Hotels and Resorts, where they worked until 2013. During their time there, they gained valuable skills and knowledge in financial management. In 2013, Chris joined Davidson Hotels & Resorts as a Controller, where they continued to excel in their role. Chris also served as a Controller at the Little Rock Marriott from 2013 to 2017. In 2017, Chris joined the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, initially as a Controller and later promoted to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a role they currently hold. Chris brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to their current position, overseeing the financial operations of the organization.

Chris Phillips, CPA has a diverse education history. In 2001, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 2005. Following this, from 2005 to 2007, Chris attended Johnson & Wales University, earning an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training.

After gaining culinary expertise, Chris decided to further their education in the field of Business Administration and Management. From 2014 to 2017, they studied at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, completing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

In addition to their formal education, Chris has also obtained several certifications. In 2006, they became a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) through the Society of Wine Educators.
