Jim Nicholas has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jim currently holds the position of Head of Design at LIV Golf since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at NextEra Energy, Inc. for a remarkable 16 years, where they held the role of Senior Creative + Certified Usability Analyst. Jim'sresponsibilities included leading cross-functional strategy and creative sessions, translating stakeholder insights into actionable creative concepts. Jim played a pivotal role in communication initiatives, including sustainability reporting and annual reports. Before their tenure at NextEra Energy, Inc., Jim worked as a Creative/Art Director + Studio Manager for various companies, where they achieved account-winning campaigns and received awards for their creative thinking and leadership.
Jim Nicholas has a diverse education history. Jim obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management & Finance/Studio Arts from Brooklyn College from 1985 to 1990. In 2012, they received a Certificate in Creativity and Innovation from the Disney Institute. Jim also pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), specializing in Mastering Design Thinking, which they completed in 2018. Additionally, they attended NextEra University in 2017 to obtain a Prosci Change Management Practitioner degree in Change Management. Jim also acquired certifications in various fields including a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) from Human Factors International in February 2019. Notably, they possess a FAA UAS Part 107 Pilot License and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. Jim also engaged in workshops at NextEra University, focusing on Six Sigma Yellow Belt Quality, Project Success Method, and Leading at the Speed of Trust.
