Annette Gallagher

Annette Gallagher has an extensive work experience in the marketing and communications industry. Annette began their career in 2004 as a self-employed Consultant/Free Lance Writer. In 2008, they became the Editor of Welcome to Miami & The Beaches magazine, where they directed the magazine layout, gathered and arranged needed elements, monitored traffic and created calendar of events for tourists. Annette also applied their knowledge of mobile trends in marketing to create an iOS app to compliment the publication, as well as a website and blog. In 2011, they were the Director of Communications at Weemba, where they served as company spokesperson, acquiring national media acclaim and capturing the attention of highly sought news outlets. From 2012 to 2016, they held various roles at the University of Miami, School of Architecture, including Director of Communication and Associate Director, Communications. During this time, they successfully crafted strategic messaging, working synergistically across business units to define communications strategy, updated website content to align with progressive University branding and mission, and laid the foundation and established social media presence. In 2016, they were the Internal Agency Lead at FirstService Residential, where they strategized campaigns and wrote a variety of content for the largest property management company in North America. From 2018 to 2020, they were an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Miami, teaching Writing for Public Relations focused on the importance of getting the message to the right people in the right language through the right channels. In 2020, they became the Founder of Red Tornado Communications, where they help businesses clarify their messaging through content marketing, strategic communications, social media and more. Annette is currently working at Spear Marketing Group as an Associate Creative Director and Consultant - Senior Copywriter, and at Livable as the Director of Content, where they help communicate their message through effective content strategy and tactics, including blogs, socical media, email marketing and more.

Annette Gallagher obtained a BSC in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from the University of Miami between 1990 and 1994. In December 2019, they obtained a Content Marketing Certification and an Inbound Marketing Certification from HubSpot Academy.
