Umberto Sambruna

Umberto Sambruna has extensive work experience in the medical device industry. Umberto began their career as a cardiac surgery perfusionist at Niguarda Hospital in 1982. Umberto then worked as a cardio pulmonary product manager at Iris Cremascoli from 1989 to 1992. After that, they became the product country manager for the CPP division at Baxter Healthcare from 1992 to 1995. Umberto then joined Edwards Lifesciences, where they held various roles including business unit manager for perfusion service and cardiac surgery system in Italy, European business manager for cardiac surgery system and global business manager for mechanical valve business. In 2005, they joined Guidant as the cardiac surgery manager for distributor operation in EMEAC. In 2007, they joined Abbott Vascular as an area manager for Greece, Israel, and Cyprus. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at Sorin Group as the HV business director for Italy, Iberia, Germany, and Switzerland, as well as the director of field marketing and distributor operation for Europe. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Sorin Group as the business line leader for CS UK, sales director for HV UK, and director of Perceval S sales in Europe. Since then, they have held several senior director and senior sales director roles at LivaNova, including senior director of strategic growth Europe, director of marketing HV & market development TMVR Europe, and currently, senior sales director for CP Italy.

Umberto Sambruna has a diverse education history. In 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Master's in Business Management from ISTUD. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1984, they obtained a University Certificate in Cardiac Surgery Perfusion from Verona University, Italy.
