Angus McDonald

Angus McDonald is the head of Live Oak Bank’s specialty finance lending team providing capital to sponsor finance, hotels, senior housing, venture banking, commercial real estate and capital markets. He joined the bank in 2015 as a senior loan officer with over 12 years’ experience in real estate financing and investing. He previously held roles at Medalist Capital, Tri Properties, and JP Morgan. Angus holds an undergraduate degree in economics from UNC Chapel Hill, as well as an MBA and Master’s in Accounting from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is a CFA Charter holder.
