Rich Friedberg currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Live Oak Bank since November 2021 and is also an investor at SVCI - Silicon Valley CISO Investments and AKA Identity. Friedberg has been involved in academia as an adjunct faculty member for the Executive Education, CISO Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College since September 2015. In addition, Friedberg contributes to the Ransomware Task Force at the Institute for Security and Technology and collaborates with Security Tinkerers. Previous roles include advisory board member at ReliaQuest, CISO at Blackbaud, and Vice President of Information Security at Capital One. Friedberg's educational background includes an MBA from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Information and Decision Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University.
