Tanya 'Lola' Shelton-Council has a diverse range of work experience in the library and education sectors. Tanya 'Lola' currently holds the position of Executive Library Director at Live Oak Public Libraries since November 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Interim Executive Director from January 2022 to November 2022, and as the Director of Library Experience from July 2021 to January 2022.

Lastly, Tanya Shelton-Council attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Master of Library Science (MLS) degree in the field of Library Science.
