Ben Brooks

Ben Brooks has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ben currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at LiveHire, a position they have held since October 2020. Before that, Ben was a Board Member at the City of Sydney Basketball Association from July 2018 to September 2022.

In 2019, Ben worked as a Consultant and Chief Commercial Officer in their own business. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Solotel from January 2014 to December 2018, where they played a crucial role in shaping the company's strategic direction and establishing a finance function.

Before joining Solotel, Ben worked at Foxtel as the Head of Finance Integration, where they successfully led the integration of Austar into the company's financial structures following a merger. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager of Finance at Austar Entertainment Pty Ltd from September 2007 to July 2012. During their time at Austar, Ben implemented various strategies to drive business improvement and transformation.

Ben's earlier work experience includes roles such as a Consultant at oOh! in 2013 and a Project Manager for the GST Implementation at Austar in 2000. Throughout their career, Ben has demonstrated expertise in finance, commercial strategy, and business improvement.

Ben Brooks received a Certificate in Innovative Technology Leadership from Stanford University in 2018. From 2003 to 2006, they pursued an MBA (Exec) at AGSM @ UNSW Business School. Finally, between 1990 and 1992, Ben Brooks completed their Bachelor of Economics with a focus in Accounting and Business/Management at The University of Queensland.
