Aaron W. Newman serves as the Chief Behavioral Health Officer and Director for Summit County Utah since 2019, focusing on mental health initiatives. In addition, Aaron holds board member positions at LiveLikeSam.org and Community Action Services and Food Bank, contributing to poverty alleviation efforts. As Chair of the Board of Directors for Summit County Clubhouse, Aaron supports a recovery-based community for individuals with mental illness. Aaron is also involved in the Utah Association of Counties and serves on the Governor's Coalition for Opioid Overdose Prevention, addressing opioid-related issues. Aaron's previous roles include consultant for the United Nations, co-chair of the Salt Lake City ReelAbilities Film Festival, and training and education manager at the National Ability Center. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science from Augustana College, a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and an MBA from Rockhurst University.
