Ben Akins

Ben Akins is an experienced information security professional currently serving as the Director of Information Security at Liverpool Football Club since June 2019. Prior to this role, Akins held positions as Information Security Manager at Tilney Group from March 2016 to June 2019 and as an Information Security Consultant at Trustmarque from March 2015 to March 2016. Akins also worked for Wirral Borough Council in various capacities, including Information & ICT Security and e-Government Officer, from August 2003 to March 2015, and at the Government Office North West from August 2000 to August 2003 in project development and appraisal. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Computing & Information Systems and a Post Graduate Diploma in the same field from Liverpool John Moores University, as well as a BA (Hons) in Economics & Industrial Studies from Leeds University.
