Laura Bowers

Laura Bowers currently serves as a Board Member for the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation and as an Advocate in Science for Susan G. Komen, while also holding the position of Young Advocate for Living Beyond Breast Cancer from 2022 to 2023. Prior to these roles, Laura worked as an Assistant Professor at Purdue University from August 2018 to September 2022. Laura's educational background includes a Cancer Control Education Program Postdoctoral Fellowship in Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. Laura also holds a Registered Dietitian credential from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Swarthmore College.
