Sofia Hanses

Sofia Hanses currently serves as a Category Purchaser at LKAB Minerals, specializing in the Business Area of Special Products since November 2022. Prior to this role, Sofia held various positions at Scania Group from September 2016 to October 2022, including Commodity Sourcing Manager, Project Sourcing Manager, and Project Buyer, focusing on steel and sheet metal sourcing. Sofia’s experience also includes roles at SSAB, where responsibilities ranged from Sustainability Coordinator and Business Analyst to Strategic Purchaser for alloys and scrap, as well as operative purchasing roles. Additional experience includes a brief position as a Purchaser at ABB and working as a distributor for PostNord. Sofia holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Management Engineering from Luleå University of Technology and has participated in an exchange program at Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
