David L.

David L. has over 25 years of work experience in the field of audit and IT assurance. David currently serves as the Senior Director, Corporate Audit Europe at LKQ Corporation, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, they were the Global IT Audit Director at LKQ Corporation from June 2019 to September 2021, where they were responsible for leading a team of IT auditors and ensuring the global provision of IT assurance across all Group companies.

Before joining LKQ Corporation, David worked at Smith & Nephew from 2016 to 2019, first as the Senior Director Internal Audit and then as the Head of IT Audit. In these roles, they had global responsibilities for IT and program assurance and risk services, assurance provision over the Global Business Services function, and regional responsibilities for LATAM Commercial entities. David also contributed to the strategic direction of the company through the development of the annual audit plan and managed multiple teams of professionals.

Prior to Smith & Nephew, David worked at GlaxoSmithKline from 2006 to 2016, where they held various positions including IT Audit Director and IT Quality Manager. In these roles, they led audit teams, developed assurance strategies, and monitored the validation of IT systems for clinical trials and regulatory compliance.

Before their tenure at GlaxoSmithKline, David founded DL2 Limited, a company they led from 2002 to 2006. David also gained experience at Reed Elsevier as an Internal Computer Auditor and at KPMG as an Information Risk Management Consultant.
