Llanos started their career in 1996 as a Redactor Secciones Regionales at Empresa Editora La industria de Trujillo SA. Carlos then moved to Publicidad Causa in 1997, where they worked as a Junior Media Planner. In 1998, they joined Publicidad Nazca/Saatchi & Saatchi as a Junior Creative.

Carlos has won numerous awards for their work, including the Latin American Effie Award, the Andres Bello Award, and the Silver Dolphin at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Carlos Llanos has a Master's in Marketing and Commercial Management from Universidad del Pacífico (PE) and a degree in Information Sciences from Universidad de Piura.
