Joan Navarro

Partner and Director of Public Affairs at LLYC. A sociologist and Associate Professor of Political Sciences and Administration at UCM, he has run the public affairs department of the leading consultancy firm in the Spanish market since 2010. After a long professional career in electoral campaigns and public management, he advises CEOs and organizations in their institutional strategy. He is the co-founder of the forum +Democracia and a member of the Association of Public Communication (ACOP). He works as a Professor of Political Leadership at the Government School of UCM and of Political Analysis on the Master’s Degree in Intelligence at URJC, and is the author, among other publications, of “Lobbying, Gestionar la influencia” [Lobbying, Managing Influence] in Comunicación Pública, Ed. Tecno 2016, “Desprivatizar los partidos” [Deprivatizing Parties] Ed. Gedisa 2019 and “La democracia en palabras” [Democracy in Words] in Punto de vista Ed. 2020. Previously, he was the Director and Spokesperson of the Coalición de Creadores e Industrias de Contenidos Audiovisuales [Coalition of Audio-visual Content Creators and Industries, (2008-2010), the Director of Institutional Relations and Communication at the state enterprise acuaMed (2006-2008), and the Chief of Staff of the Minister for Public Relations (2004-2006).

Joan Navarro holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences and Sociology from UNED, a university at which he is an expert in the legal and electoral regime of political parties, and a post-graduate qualification in general management (PDG) from IESE-University of Navarre
