Ilya Tulvio

Ilya Tulvio has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. In recent years, Ilya has held key positions at LloydsDirect, starting as an Engineering Manager from October 2019 to September 2021. Following this, Ilya served as the Head of Engineering from September 2021 to April 2023, before becoming the Director of Technology in April 2023. Prior to LloydsDirect, Ilya worked at Made by Many as the Technical Director from January 2017 to October 2019 and as the Lead Technologist from September 2013 to January 2017. Ilya also gained valuable experience at Dare, where they held roles such as Associate Tech Director from April 2012 to September 2013, Technical Account Lead from June 2010 to April 2012, and Web Developer from November 2009 to June 2010. Before joining Dare, Ilya worked as a Web Producer at Sanoma Digital Oy from November 2008 to September 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Web Producer at Taloussanomat Oy from March 2007 to November 2008, where they played a crucial role in conceptualizing, designing, and developing new features for different news brands. Additionally, Ilya has experience as a Web Designer at Kielikeidas from October 2004 to February 2007, where they were responsible for visual and user interface design, project management, and client relations. Before that, Ilya founded their own company, Avara Media Oy, in 2001, where they worked as a Founder and Web Developer until 2007. Earlier in their career, Ilya gained experience as a Reporter at Digitoday Finland Oy from May 2003 to September 2004, and as a Technical Support person at UIAH from May 2001 to May 2002. Lastly, Ilya started their career as an Editorial Assistant at WOW! Wireless from March 2000 to April 2001, where they contributed to daily news writing, translation, and newsletter creation. Throughout their career, Ilya has shown expertise in technology leadership, engineering management, web production, and project management.

Ilya Tulvio began their education journey in 1997 at the Senior Secondary School of Visual Arts in Helsinki, where they pursued a degree in Arts with a focus on Multimedia. After completing their secondary education, Tulvio enrolled in Turun yliopisto - University of Turku in 2002, where they studied Computer Science for a year. Following this, they transferred to Helsinki University in 2003 and completed their degree in Computer Science in 2006.
