Jason Evans is an experienced Open Data Manager at Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru / The National Library of Wales since September 2005, where responsibilities include developing and implementing the library's Open Access policy, managing partnerships, and enhancing digital archives through innovative uses of open data. Previous roles at the library include Head of Digital Content and Access, National Wikimedian, Wikipedian in Residence, and Reader's Assistant in the Maps and Manuscripts department. Additionally, Jason serves as a member of the Europeana Network Association Members Council and acts as an Ambassador for OpenUK. Previously, experience as an Independent Researcher with ProGen Professional Genealogical Service involved hands-on genealogy research with a focus on Welsh and local history. Jason holds an NVQ level 2 and 3 in Library and Information Management from Llandrillo College and an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Art from Dyfed School of Art.
