Rachael Skerkis

Rachael Skerkis currently serves as an Administrative Assistant at Hampstead Animal Hospital and has been an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina Wilmington since October 2019, focusing on coral hybridization, marine biology fieldwork, and laboratory experimentation. Rachael has experience in working with metal ion complexation and UV-Vis spectroscopy, and has knowledge of mildly radioactive materials. In addition to research roles, Rachael has worked in customer service positions, including as a Server at LM Restaurant Group and a Retail Associate at GNC, where extensive product knowledge was applied to help customers achieve their health goals. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and an Associate's degree from Cape Fear Community College.
