Dr. Islam Bayoumi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Dr. Islam started their career as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Alexandria University from September 2006 to August 2009. Following this, they worked as a Research and Assistant Lecturer at the same university from August 2009 to September 2012.

In 2013, Dr. Bayoumi joined TU Braunschweig as a Scientific Assistant and PhD Graduate Student. During this time, they conducted research, prepared progress reports, monitored project budgets and deadlines, and oversaw the work of undergraduate students involved in the project. Their tenure at TU Braunschweig lasted from April 2013 to May 2017.

Dr. Bayoumi then transitioned to LMT Tools where they held multiple positions. Dr. Islam served as the Team Leader of Technical Process Optimization for segments milling, threading, and roll systems from April 2018 to July 2021. Subsequently, they became the Head of Technical Process Optimization at LMT Tools from July 2021 to March 2023. In this role, they led and managed global projects, implemented strategic projects related to production, and collaborated with R&D and Product Management for the launch of new products. Additionally, they were responsible for manufacturing process development and optimization, global technology transfer, and cross-functional collaboration on process evaluation and improvements.

Finally, Dr. Bayoumi held the position of Head of Global Projects & Production Strategy (Global Production) at LMT Tools starting from April 2023. In this role, they were responsible for establishing the global production strategy, leading production footprint, and overseeing strategic projects and the global production network for five plants worldwide. Dr. Islam also managed global cross-functional and multi-cultural teams, evaluated investments, and defined optimal locations and technologies for production.

In 2013, Dr. Bayoumi enrolled at Technische Universität Braunschweig, where they embarked on a journey to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Machine Tools Design and Production Technology. Dr. Islam successfully completed their PhD in 2017.
