Lian Cutajar

Lian Cutajar has a strong work experience in the field of network and security. They started their career at MeDirect in 2015 as an IT Support Officer and later progressed to the roles of Administrator IT Networks and Security and SRE - Networks and Security. In 2021, they joined the Malta Financial Services Authority as a Senior Network and Security Specialist. Currently, Lian serves as the Network Team Lead at Light & Wonder - iGaming.

Lian Cutajar's education history begins with their Diploma in Industrial Electronics, which they obtained from MCAST Electrical & Electronics Engineering between 2004 and 2008. They later pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Networks at Middlesex University from 2014 to 2017, specializing in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.

In terms of additional certifications, Lian obtained the ITIL Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in March 2018. They also obtained the NSE5 Network Security Analyst certification from Fortinet in February 2018, followed by the NSE4 Network Security Professional certification in September 2017. Furthermore, Lian received the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) certification from Cisco in December 2017.

More recently, Lian has acquired several Cisco certifications. They obtained the Cisco Certified Networking Professional - Enterprise certification in July 2021, along with the Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation certification from Cisco in the same month. In February 2020, Lian obtained the Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core certification.

Additionally, Lian holds a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft, obtained in July 2020. They also obtained an Amateur Radio License from the Malta Communications Authority in September 2021.
