Andrew Jones

Andrew Jones is a scientific program manager at Loam Bio, focusing on developing soil microbial technology for climate mitigation in agriculture since March 2022. Concurrently, Andrew serves as an adjunct research fellow at The University of Queensland, where a PhD project was launched, generating $500K in funding and fostering industry collaboration. Previously, as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, Andrew conducted large-scale field trials on carbon dioxide removal technologies and has extensive research experience, including completing a Ph.D. in soil biogeochemistry and leading studies on soil carbon management as a research soil scientist for the Queensland Government. Andrew's early career included roles as an environmental technician and a summer internship at Rio Tinto, contributing to environmental management initiatives.
