The Product Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining seamless integration solutions between our company's systems and external partners. This role demands expert-level proficiency in SQL, specifically MySQL 8, and familiarity with tools like Postman, Python, and Ruby. Your strong understanding of data integration, API management, and system architecture will enhance the company's operational workflows and data exchange processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and a proactive approach to driving integration projects from start to finish.
🚀 What You’ll Do:
Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of SQL, particularly MySQL 8, to manage, query, and optimize data interactions within processes.
Write and optimize complex queries, create standardized procedures, and manage large datasets as well as use available tools to diagnose and improve query performance, ensuring efficient database operations.
Demonstrate strong familiarity with data operations and analytics, using these skills to manage, analyze, and interpret data effectively to support strategic decision-making and process improvements.
Design and implement efficient, scalable integration solutions between internal systems and third-party platforms, ensuring high reliability and maintainability.
Utilize Postman for API documentation, testing, and integration validation.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand integration requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and business needs.
Develop custom integration components using programming languages such as Python and Ruby.
Conduct data and workflow analyses to identify integration opportunities, addressing challenges and recommending optimization strategies.
Configure and maintain secure API connections, ensuring compliance with industry data privacy standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly, collaborating with peers and technical teams for effective solutions.
Proactively monitor integration performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
Document integration workflows, processes, and system configurations for internal and external reference.
Provide technical support and guidance on integration functionalities to end-users and stakeholders.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data integration and API management.
🛠What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as an Product Integration Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on designing and maintaining integrated solutions.
Expert-level proficiency in SQL, with significant experience in MySQL 8.
Strong familiarity with Postman for API testing and documentation.
Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python and Ruby for custom integration development.
Comprehensive knowledge of API technologies (e.g., REST, JSON, XML) and integration protocols.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data mapping techniques.
Experience with cloud-based integration platforms or middleware (e.g., Zapier, Workato, MuleSoft) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive and collaborative team player with a commitment to continuous learning.
Familiarity with data security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and experience in integrating third-party applications (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) is beneficial.
