Lead Data Scientist at LoanSnap

Benjamin Squire has had a successful career in data science. In 2021, they began working as a Lead Data Scientist for LoanSnap, where they developed scripts in Python to ETL data from LendingTree, analyze optimal bid size and customer filters, and created a process to identify optimal pricing strategies and marketing spend. During their time there, they doubled the Customer Transfer rate in the first 6 months. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Meredith Corporation as a Senior and then Data Scientist for the Identity Platform and Profiles. During this time, they ideated and executed an In-house Enterprise wide Identity Graph of Anonymous and Known Customers across 30+ websites, provided a mechanism to evaluate Data Vendors ability to link anonymous customers, and developed an Enterprise wide graph DB in Neo4j. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Time Inc. as a Data Scientist and Big Data Analyst, where they created scalable recommendation algorithms, developed graphical roadmaps, and created intuitive web applications. In 2015, they worked at The University of British Columbia as a Project Analyst, where they helped develop and implement an end to end scalable Web application capable of scanning news aggregators and social media for text mining purposes.

Benjamin Squire began their educational journey in 2008 when they attended Bellevue College and obtained an Associates in Arts and Sciences in General Studies. Benjamin then went on to Central Washington University in 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics. Finally, in 2014, they attended the UBC Sauder School of Business and obtained a Master of Management in Operations Research.
