Melanie Agopian, MBA has extensive work experience in various roles within Loblaw Companies Limited. Melanie started their career in 2006 as a Sr. Project Manager in the Strategic Program Office and gradually progressed to roles such as Sr. Director of Planning, Meat & Seafood, Sr. Director of Strategy, Analytics, and Insights, Sr. Director of Sustainability, and Sr. Director of Planning in Loblaw Brands. Melanie also held the positions of Sr. Director of Planning and Fresh Discount Merchandising in the Discount Division. In 2018, they became the VP of Divisional Programs & Strategy for the Discount Division, and in 2020 they were promoted to VP of the Enterprise Procurement Group.
Additionally, Melanie Agopian served as a Board Member in A.R.S. Private School starting from 2016, and prior to joining Loblaw Companies Limited, they worked as a Consultant in Accenture Inc. from 2004 to 2006.
Melanie Agopian obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed the Loblaw High Potential Leadership Development Program at Schulich ExecEd in 2012. In 2004, Melanie earned their Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm) degree in Specialist Commerce & Finance with a minor in Environmental Economics from the University of Toronto.
