Local Initiatives Support
Andrew Frishkoff serves as the Executive Director of Philadelphia Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) since February 2011, focusing on transforming distressed neighborhoods into healthy communities through support for community development corporations and local organizations. Prior to LISC, Andrew held multiple leadership roles in the City of Philadelphia, including Director of Neighborhood Economic Development and Director of Economic Development for the Empowerment Zone, where responsibilities included improving neighborhood marketplaces, fostering economic development, and coordinating job creation efforts. Andrew also briefly served as the Interim Director of Community Economic Development at the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition and was the Executive Director of the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania from 1994 to 2001, overseeing statewide housing policy and advocacy initiatives. Andrew holds an MBA in Business Real Estate from The Wharton School and a B.A. in Sociology from Haverford College.
