Dr. Irvin Pedro Cohen

Dr. Irvin PeDro Cohen serves as the Executive Director at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) since November 2020. Previously, Dr. Cohen held the position of VP of Social Responsibility/Operations at the YMCA of Florida's First Coast from May 2015 to November 2020, where responsibilities included leading social responsibility initiatives and overseeing operations at key YMCA locations. Prior experience also includes serving as Executive Director for the New Town Success Zone at Edward Waters College from May 2008 to May 2015, focusing on the Jacksonville Promise Neighborhood initiative and ensuring financial sustainability through fundraising efforts. Educationally, Dr. Cohen earned a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, an MBA from Pfeiffer University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Florida.
