Russell Black

Russell Black has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and data science. Russell most recently worked at Local Logic as a Senior Data Engineer starting in December 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Data Engineer at BlueDot from February 2021 to November 2022. Russell also worked as a Data Scientist at Vale from December 2018 to February 2021, and at Orix Geoscience Inc from November 2017 to December 2018. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Mobility Churn Insights & Forecasting Analyst at Bell from August 2016 to August 2017. Russell began their career as a GIS Developer, working as a freelancer from 2015 to 2016.

Russell Black attended the University of Toronto from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography. In 2015, they enrolled at Ryerson University, studying Data Analytics, Big Data, and Predictive Analytics. Russell also spent a brief period in 2015 at Ryerson University, studying Applied Geography and Digital GIS.
