Lily Wakeley

Lily Wakeley is the current Editorial and Content Assistant at Local Trust. Previously, Lily worked as a Producer at Bare Life Films, where Lily created an investigative documentary on healthcare access for migrants. Lily also served as a Deputy Editor (Trainee) at Bethnal Green LDN and won Best Documentary Short at the Tribeca Film Festival 2022 as a Producer for Heart Valley. In their past roles, including at ADVANCE charity and Hibiscus Initiatives, Lily provided practical and emotional support to marginalized women, while also conducting research at organizations like Project Phakama UK and Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants. Lily is a dedicated professional with a background in social anthropology and a passion for social justice and storytelling.
