Ricardo Varela

Ricardo Varela has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2004 with their role as a Member of the ACM Student Board. Ricardo then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Sevilla/CICA in 2004, and as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Microsoft in 2005. In 2006, Ricardo moved to Google, where they worked as a Software Development Engineer. Ricardo then joined Yahoo! in 2007 as a Mobile Integration Engineering Lead, and in 2009 they became a Mobile Search Architect. In 2010, Ricardo moved to Vodafone, where they held the roles of Product Director - WAC Network APIs and Principal Manager - Joint Innovation Lab. In 2012, Ricardo joined Telefonica Digital as the Head of Bluevia, where they managed the global payments platform of Telefonica and Telenor Group. Finally, Ricardo founded Localistico in 2014.

Ricardo Varela attended the Universidad de Sevilla from 1997 to 2006.
