Florian Scharf

Florian Scharf has a comprehensive work experience in the field of information security. Florian worked at localsearch as the Chief Information Security Officer starting in August 2023. Prior to that, they held the same role at Inventx AG from February 2020 to July 2023. Florian also gained experience at SIX, where they worked as a Senior Security Officer from April 2019 to January 2020 and as a Security Officer from November 2016 to March 2019. Additionally, they were employed at Swiss Re, serving as an Information Security Officer from October 2013 to October 2016, an Information Security Analyst from October 2008 to September 2013, a System Engineer - Workplace Support from July 2004 to September 2008, and an IT Helpdesk Agent from August 2001 to June 2004. Florian's career began as a Trainee at IHK für München und Oberbayern, where they worked as a Management Assistant in Informatics until July 2001.

Florian Scharf began their education at Realschule Vincent von Paul from 1994 to 1998. Florian then pursued various certifications, including GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) in 2009 and GIAC Advisory Board membership in 2009 as well. In 2010, Florian obtained the GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) certification. Florian further enhanced their qualifications with the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification in 2014 and the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification in 2016. Florian continued their formal education at Fachhochschule Luzern, where they earned a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Enterprise Risk Management from 2017 to 2018. Florian also completed a Certificate in Advanced Studies - Data Privacy Officer at the same institution. Florian's pursuit of knowledge continued with the completion of a CAS Governance, Risk and Compliance program and a CAS Enterprise Risk Management program in 2017 and 2018, respectively. In 2018, Florian achieved the degree of CAS Data Privacy Officer and pursued MAS Enterprise Risk Management studies.
