Oscar Diago

Oscar Diago is a seasoned research scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and genetic research. Currently at Locanabio, Inc. since May 2020, Oscar leads the optimization and implementation of advanced molecular methodologies and neuronal purification techniques for developing novel disease models. Prior to this role, Oscar spent over a decade at Tocagen, specializing in next-generation sequencing and viral RNA sequencing assays, and contributed to diagnostic tool validation using multiplex qPCR and RT-qPCR assays. Oscar's earlier experience as a Senior Research Associate at Favrille Inc. involved optimizing genetic profiling operations in a GMP environment and developing purification protocols. Oscar began a career in research at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, where various molecular analyses and experiments were conducted. Oscar holds an educational background from UC San Diego.
