Ronald Torres

Ronald Torres is a skilled scientist with extensive experience in histology and research in gene therapy for neurodegenerative and neuromuscular diseases. Currently a Scientist I at Locanabio, Inc., Ronald characterizes gene therapy effects using novel RNA and RNA-binding proteins in rodent and non-human primate models. Prior roles include Associate Scientist at Novartis Gene Therapies focusing on CNS disorders, and Associate Scientist at Prothena Biosciences, where Ronald managed a histopathology lab supporting therapeutic antibody candidates. Additional experience includes establishing histopathology capabilities at Neotope Biosciences and consulting for OncoMDx, Inc. Ronald holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC San Diego.
