Kayla Hudson Cotterman is an experienced Environmental Specialist at Lochmueller Group since January 2022, focusing on building and calibrating EPA SWMM models, using ArcPro for mapping, and writing PERs for infrastructure improvement. Prior to this role, Kayla served as a Research Physical Scientist at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center from August 2016 to January 2022, where research on global climate change impacts was conducted, alongside the development of hydrologic maps and project management related to flooding. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Research Assistantship at Michigan State University, investigating High Plains aquifer depletion and teaching integrated science courses, as well as a Student Research Assistant position at the Indiana State Climate Office. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Environmental Geosciences from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Purdue University.
