John D. Carey

John D. Carey is a seasoned program and project manager with extensive experience in capital improvement programs, particularly within the K-12 public education sector, managing projects valued between $200-$300 million at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. Previously, John held senior project management roles at Orbital Engineering, Atlas Copco, and CH2M HILL, focusing on engineering and critical infrastructure projects in industries such as oil, gas, and telecommunications. With a strong background in managing large-scale projects, including custom-designed compressor systems for natural gas plants and the development of telecommunications networks, John has demonstrated expertise in enhancing client relationships and improving operational efficiencies. As a former program manager at Parsons and construction project manager at Tennessee Valley Authority, John oversaw numerous commercial and industrial projects, managing substantial capital budgets and extensive contractor teams. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University and has furthered professional development through the Project Management Institute.
