Greg Albiston

Greg Albiston has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors. Greg currently works at Lockwood Publishing Ltd, where they started as a Software Engineer in March 2019 and was promoted to Senior Software Engineer in April 2021. Prior to this, they contributed as an Open Source Contributor at The Apache Software Foundation from July 2019 to July 2022.

Greg's earlier work experience includes their time at Nottingham Trent University, where they served as a Postgraduate Researcher from January 2015 to January 2019. During this role, they also worked as an Hourly Paid Lecturer, delivering lectures, supervising laboratories, and providing assessment marking and feedback. Before joining the university, Greg worked as a Software Developer at Nottingham Trent University, specializing in Knowledge Management Systems and traffic simulation.

Greg Albiston has a strong academic background in computer science and informatics. Greg obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science & Informatics from Nottingham Trent University between 2015 and 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Computing Systems from the same university from 2012 to 2014.

Greg has a solid foundation in electronics and computer engineering as well. Greg earned their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronic & Computer Engineering (Hons) from the University of Nottingham from 2000 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Greg has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills.
