Phil Hayward

Phil Hayward has over 20 years of work experience in software engineering and pre-sales support roles. Phil is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer (client networking) at Lockwood Publishing Ltd, where they are responsible for working on the Avakin Life Game Client Network stack and investigating network performance issues. Prior to this, Phil worked at Certara for 13 years as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed scientific software packages and delivered cost savings in clinical trials through simulation. Phil also managed a team, provided international support and training, and worked on front-end development in C#/WPF and C++. Phil has previous experience at Covi Technologies Inc as a Senior Software & Pre-Sales Support Engineer, where they focused on the integration of digital video and surveillance systems, and at Synectics, where they held a similar role. Phil Hayward obtained a BSc (Honours) degree in Software Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. In terms of additional certifications, they completed various online courses and programs. In December 2019, they obtained the certification "OTP-AWSD1: AWS Developer - Building on AWS" from edX. In February 2020, they obtained the certification "AWS Developer: Deploying on AWS" also from edX. In March 2020, they obtained the certification "OTP-AWSD3: AWS Developer - Optimizing on AWS" from edX. Additionally, in November 2014, they completed the Coursera course "The Data Scientist's Toolbox", and in December 2014, they completed the Coursera course "Getting and Cleaning Data (Data manipulation with R)". Other certifications include "Introduction to FinTech" from edX in March 2021, "Introduction to Data Science (Big Data)" from Coursera in June 2013, and "Pattern-Oriented Software Architectures for Concurrent and Networked Mobile Devices and Clouds" from Coursera in May 2013.
