Kate Atwood

Founder, CEO at LoCo+

Kate Atwood has had an extensive career in the nonprofit and corporate sectors. In 2001, they began their career as an Account Executive at GEM Group. In 2002, they founded Kate's Club, a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Atlanta, Georgia that empowers children and teens facing life after the death of a parent or sibling. As the Creator and Executive Director, they ran the organization for its first seven years before facilitating a successful founder transition. Kate then served as the Executive Director of the Arby's Foundation from 2011 to 2015, where they contributed more than $18mm to end childhood hunger. In 2015, they became the Inaugural Executive Director of ChooseATL, an award-winning talent attraction initiative that promotes Metro Atlanta to the next generation of tech and creative talent. In 2020, they founded LoCo Plus, where they currently serve as the Founder and CEO.

Kate Atwood attended the University of Virginia from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelors of Arts and Science in Sociology.
