Jim Matus

Jim Matus has a diverse work experience in the banking industry spanning over 17 years. Jim started their career at Chase in 2004, where they held various roles, including VP of Business Banking Relationship Manager and VP of Private Client Banker. Jim then moved to SunTrust Bank and worked as a VP of Business Banking Relationship Manager. After that, they joined First Citizens Bank as a VP of Business Banker, where they managed and grew commercial portfolios. Jim later joined Capital One as a Credit Analyst and eventually became a Senior Credit Analyst, where they underwrote high-value credit requests and led credit line decrease programs. Currently, they are with Locus, where they serve as the VP of Credit Underwriting Manager, responsible for managing the credit analyst team and implementing underwriting strategies and policies. Throughout their career, Jim has developed expertise in real estate credit and small business lending.

Jim Matus attended Illinois State University from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing. Jim also has additional certifications, including Illinois Health and Life Insurance from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) in January 2004, Series 63 from NASAA in December 2004, and Series 6 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in December 2004.
