Jeffrey Meisner

Jeffrey Meisner is an accomplished professional in microbiology and molecular genetics, currently serving as Senior Director, Development and Program Lead at Locus Biosciences, Inc. since March 2025. Previously, Jeffrey held roles as Scientific Advisor and Chief Scientific Officer at Resilient Biotics, where oversight was provided for the development of microbial products addressing respiratory diseases in livestock. As Director of Translational Medicine at Locus Biosciences from April 2022 to January 2023, Jeffrey directed the development of engineered bacteriophage therapies and managed preclinical studies for various infectious diseases. Earlier experience includes leadership positions at Kaleido Biosciences, focusing on synthetic glycans and gut microbiome modulation, as well as postdoctoral fellowships at Emory University and Harvard Medical School, contributing to significant advancements in microbial genetics and biosynthesis. Jeffrey Meisner holds a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Emory University and a BS in Pharmacology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
