Patrick Melanson

Patrick Melanson has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the IT and steel industries. Patrick served as the EVP of Shared Services & CIO at Black Diamond Group, where they were responsible for supply chain, major bids, and IT services in Canada, the U.S., and Australia. Patrick also held the position of VP and CIO at Black Diamond Group, overseeing IT at their facilities.

Melanson was the VP and CTO at LodgeLink, a division of Black Diamond Group, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer for a new workforce accommodations marketplace. Prior to that, they worked at Evraz Inc NA as the Senior Vice President of Product and Resource Management, overseeing sales and operations planning in North America.

Patrick also held the role of VP and CIO at Tenaris, where they oversaw IT at facilities in Canada, the U.S., and Colombia. At Maverick Tube Corporation, they served as the Vice President and CIO. Before that, they were the CIO at Prudential Steel Ltd, a company acquired by Maverick Tube Corporation.

Earlier in their career, Melanson worked at Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Manager, where they managed major engagements and later assumed leadership of the Western U.S. division. Patrick also worked at Andersen Consulting, where they progressed to a senior-level position and established the Canadian Oracle Centre of Expertise in Calgary.

Overall, Melanson has a strong background in IT leadership and management in the steel and consulting industries.

Patrick Melanson completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Management Information Systems at the University of Calgary, which they attended until 1994.
