Amber Harkin has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Amber started their career as an Elementary School Teacher in Tucson in 2010. Amber then transitioned to the hotel industry, working as an Assistant General Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Tucson Williams Center from 2005 to 2009. Amber also held the role of Interim Restaurant Manager at Courtyard by Marriott DIA in 2005. In 2004, they interned as an F&B Management Intern at Marriott Dalmahoy. Amber further progressed in their career and became a General Manager at TownePlace Suites by Marriott from 2011 to 2014 and later at Embassy Suites Tucson- Paloma Village from 2014 to 2018. Their most recent position was as a Regional Director of Operations at Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group, LLC, starting in April 2019.
Amber Harkin attended Johnson and Wales University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Resort Management. Amber then pursued further education at Northern Arizona University from 2009 to 2010 and obtained a Masters Degree in Elementary Education.
