Chad Smith, Vice President of Design and Construction, has been a part of the LHM team since 2008. Responsible for new construction and capital improvement/renovation projects from design of concept to completion of construction, Chad has managed over $150,000,000 worth of projects to-date, including the construction of the Hilton Garden Inn – Northpark; the Doubletree Chesterfield; the Cheshire Hotel renovation; the Airport Marriott renovation, and more than twenty others in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
As LHM’s portfolio expands to include more diverse properties, Chad’s experience enabled him to lead the design and construction of many other projects including, 360, the rooftop bar at the Hilton Ballpark; The Cheshire Restaurants, Westport Plaza retail and office space; and the historic renovation of St. Louis Union Station.
Chad gained his understanding of structure and design, as well as his extensive knowledge of construction and project management, through successful positions earlier in his career. Prior to LHM, Chad worked as a Project Manager and Estimator at one of St. Louis’ leading general contracting firms and began his career as a designer for an architectural firm. Chad earned a degree in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Outside of work, Chad lends his time and support to a variety of charitable organizations including Stray Rescue St. Louis, where he is a regular volunteer, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Diabetes Association.
