John Eterno

VP, Missions at Loft Orbital

John Eterno has over seven years of experience in program management, leading all aspects of performance on a variety of high-profile programs. John began their career at Sierra Nevada Corporation in November 2012 as a Program Manager. In this role, they led a cross-functional team of twelve engineers, scientists, and principal investigators assigned to multiple programs within the DOD group. John was responsible for creating and managing program budgets totaling upwards of $40M as well as driving procurement planning by collaborating with the operations group to determine the overall procurement strategy and establish subcontracting requirements.

In October 2019, John transitioned to their current role as VP, Missions at Loft Orbital where they continue to leverage their exceptional cost-modeling skills as a critical component to overall program and build strategy in proof of concept and future cost estimation. John has also significantly improved customer relations on all programs by increasing transparency, communication, and trust across all facets of the customer’s project management organization.

John Eterno received a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. John also has a minor in Material Science. John is certified from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

John Eterno works with Pieter van Duijn - CTO, Henry Marshall - VP, Finance, and Andrew Berg - VP, Business Development. Their manager is Pierre-Damien Vaujour, Co-Founder & CEO.
