Patrick Sears

Patrick Sears is currently the CTO at Lofty AI. Prior to that, they were a Principal Software Engineer at realtor.com from October 2017 to June 2019. Patrick was responsible for the core architecture, developer experience, and orchestration of over 30 teams working together over cross-disciplinary services to bring React to the realtor.com experience. Patrick's key areas of focus were performance (both page speed and core engagement metrics); continuous integration and deploy throughput; bug frequency and time to fix; and scalability.

From December 2015 to October 2017, Patrick was a Senior Software Engineer at Wizeline. Patrick's responsibilities there included maintaining and troubleshooting existing applications, driving the upgrade of key application components to new versions so that new features could be developed, and driving the design and development of a new platform for a new version of this product, covering key areas like scalability, data design, reusability and extensibility. Patrick was instrumental in the architecture and development of a heavily modular, reusable, Flux-inspired frontend webapp that allowed Wizeline to build new features rapidly, with an early focus on testing, testability and quality.

Patrick Sears received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
